Our regulations

A team of park rangers makes sure our visitors have an unforgettable experience in the park. Besides maintaining the trails and offering tours and guided hikes, the rangers also look after our flora and fauna where necessary.  Read our FAQ's below.

 To ensure your utmost safety in the park we ask you to read and understand our safety regulations and always follow up on requests from our team once you are in the park.

Also you are required to sign the waiver at the entrance. You can save yourself some time and download it here and bring it with your, signed.

  • No mountain climbing and hiking after 10 AM due to extreme heat and high humidity.
  • Please make sure to wear a hat / bring sunscreen
  • No smoking, no fires and no loud music 
  • No littering. Please bring your litter back with you or use the trash bins
  • Bring 2 liters of water per person and enough snacks 
  • Limit both your exertion and your exposure to the heat if you have asthma, diabetes, a heart condition, knee or back problems, or any other health or medical issues 
  • Do not leave any valuables in your car, lock your car and make sure to turn your car lights off 
  • The park is a no-fly zone for drones. 
  • Make sure to leave the park before 1:30 PM 
  • No motorcycles, buggies, ATV’s or quads allowed in the park
  • No dogs allowed in the park 

Always follow up any request our rangers might have for you. Circumstances may change and therefore they will always handle according to the latest safety standards and ensure your well being in the park.

The general opening hours of the Christoffelpark are:
Monday to Sunday: 06:00 to 14:00

For your own safety, Mountain Climbing is allowed until 10.00 AM.
After 10.00 am it is not allowed to climb the Mountain. Please read the regulations on this page for more information.

The Christoffelpark is the largest and most diverse national park of Curacao and a must see for everyone.

There are 8 hiking trails available of varied difficulty.
Visitors also have the choice between two scenic car routes that go through the unique nature, around hills and across the coastline.

Visitors can explore the Savonet museum, which tells the story of the Savonet Plantation; one of the earliest founded plantations on the island.

The park offers a variety of 8 hiking trails and 2 scenic car routes.
Visitors are free to choose between hiking or driving.
 We advise not to go mountain climbing after 10 AM and regular hiking after 11 AM due to high humidity.

Please also note that some areas of the park may be (partially) closed off without prior notice due to (acute) weather conditions.

Nature

 The trails in the Christoffelpark feature loose (unleveled) gravel surfaces. We recommend car routes for people who have a form of mobility impairment.

We are working to ensure all visitors can experience and enjoy the park. The bathroom, restaurant and museum are wheelchair accessible. If you have special needs, please feel free to ask our staff. We will be happy to assist you.

To sign up for a membership Card for the Christoffelpark, just fill in the registration form (available at the ticket office Christoffelpark) or download here, pay the fee of ANG 60,- and we will contact you to pick up your card.

Pets are not allowed in the Christoffelpark.
